1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

Usage Data – We collect information about how you interact with our platform, including IP addresses, browser type, and device identifiers.

Cookies and Analytics – We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and usage patterns, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our pages through session recordings and heatmaps. We show a cookie consent banner to visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals everywhere. You can also email us to opt out.

Visitor Identification – We use RB2B to identify business visitors to pie.inc so that our team can follow up with relevant information. RB2B does not load for visitors in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland. Everywhere else it runs on all pages of pie.inc and may return your name, professional email address, company, job title, and LinkedIn profile. RB2B is not governed by the cookie consent banner, which covers Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. See section 4 for how to opt out.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Service Providers – We use third-party vendors to operate our services, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (analytics and session recording on pie.inc), RB2B (business visitor identification on pie.inc outside the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), AWS (cloud hosting), and Stripe (payment processing). These providers have access to limited personal data solely to perform their services.

Legal Compliance – We may disclose information if required by law or to enforce our rights.

Business Transfers – In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

  • Access & Update – You can request access to and correction of your personal information.
  • Deletion Requests – You may request account deletion by contacting us.
  • Opt-Out of Marketing – You can unsubscribe from promotional emails via the "unsubscribe" link in any email or by contacting us.
  • Opt-Out of Visitor Identification – You can ask RB2B to exclude you from its database using its opt-out form at app.retention.com/optout. That request applies to RB2B itself, not only to pie.inc. You can also email us to have your record deleted from our systems.

We take reasonable security measures to protect your data against unauthorized access. While no method is 100% secure, we use industry best practices, including encryption and access controls.

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations.

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Users in the EU have additional rights, such as data portability and restriction of processing.
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) – California residents can request access, deletion, and opt-out of data sales (though we do not sell data).
